1. It’s Mustache Monday again! Here is Calvin Stowe (c. 1860), who was married to Harriet Beecher Stowe, the famed abolitionist and author of Uncle Tom’s Cabin.
According to the excellent Harriet Beecher Stowe Center,

Calvin Stowe was a respected scholar and theologian who taught at Lane Seminary in Cincinnati, Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME, and Andover Theological Seminary in Andover, MA. Calvin’s “Origin and History of the Books of the Bible” was published in 1867. Calvin encouraged his wife’s writing career, telling her she “must be a literary woman.”

While he doesn’t appear to be sporting a mustache in this image, Mr. Stowe does have a very impressive beard. What do you think he’s reading?
