We're The New York Public Library and we're here to inspire lifelong learning, advance knowledge, and strengthen our communities.
The New York Public Library system will remain closed on Halloween, Oct. 31, because of Hurricane Sandy. We are assessing damage and are working towards a Thursday reopening, but stay tuned for updates. Once again, fines on materials due will be waived, don’t try to return anything. The items will be due the day the libraries reopen. Our free eBooks are also still available for download (if you have power). Hope to see you guys back at our branches soon.
