1. D’Aulaire’s Book of Greek Myths by Ingri and Edgar Parin D’Aulaire
The storytelling and artwork blew my mind.   I read it over and over again for several years, never tiring of the gods’ crazy antics.   And when I got to college and took a course in classical mythology, I found myself way ahead of many of my classmates who did not know these stories as well as I did!
