Our libraries officially opened for business at noon today following the MTA shutdown and the hurricane - and it seemed people just couldn’t wait! We’re glad to hear it! Just FYI, except for some minor flooding at some of our locations, NYPL escaped Irene basically unscathed. Thanks for all your concern! Also, you should know that any items with due dates set for Saturday and Sunday (when we were closed) have been extended to Tuesday, Aug. 30. So no fines for those days.
