Everyone loves ‘em. Heck, the Library enjoyed the culinary delights of a handful of food trucks during our Lunch Hour NYC exhibition last year. Want to own your very own food truck and fill it with your favorite concoctions? We suggest a visit this Thursday evening at SIBL with David Weber, President of the NYC Food Truck Association, an instructor at the Institute for Culinary Education, and co-founder of Rickshaw Dumplings.

Treats Truck, outside the NYPL on Fifth and 40th right now!

In the mood to satisfy your sweet tooth? You’re in luck! Starting today, the Treats Truck is stopping by the Library every Tuesday until the end of the month. Pick from their menu of cookies, crispy squares, brownies, drinks, and more. They will be parked on the corner of 40th and 5th Ave. from 4-7 p.m. Come treat yourself to an end-of-day delight.

Food Trucks at the Library!

Starting RIGHT NOW, you can head over to the Bryant Park Plaza at 40th Street and Fifth Avenue and grab lunch at one of five rotating food trucks that will be parked there during the summer. 

The NYPL has partnered with the New York City Food Truck Association and Bryant Park to bring lunch to the library, in conjunction with our new exhibition Lunch Hour NYC, of course.

Every day from about 11am - 3pm, a different truck will be serving up delicious meals. Today, grab a lobster roll from the Red Hook Lobster Pound truck. Here’s the regular weekly schedule:

Monday: Mexicue
Tuesday: Schnitzel & Things
Wednesday: Red Hook Lobster Pound 
Thursday: Rickshaw Dumplings
Friday: Eddie’s Pizza
