1. Staying awake to watch the ball drop and bring in the new year is no easy task for most children. We here at the New York Public Library thought it was only fair that the celebration of 2014 start early for the little ones. Join us at the St. George Library Center on December 31st at 12pm, as we host this year’s Noon Year’s Eve Party. We will celebrate with crafts and sparkling apple cider. Hope to see you and your children there!

  3. Happy New Year’s Eve to everyone from the NYPL. We went back into our digital gallery archives to see what cool New Year’s related images we could find and came across this holiday menu from the Chicago Beach Hotel over 100 years ago. Pretty cool stuff. To search for more News Years related images visit the NYPL Digital Gallery.
